Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a road bridge over the River Eamont in England. Two design options were developed for this thesis, where a bridge with through arch was selected. This is a self-anchored structure, consisting of a steel arch with a span of 48.30 m and a rise of 9.69 m, and a prestressed concrete bridge deck with a span of 54.60 m. The structural analysis was handled according to the valid standards and regulations.
