The thesis deals with the virtual commissioning of a robotic workstation for operating a CNC machining center, followed by measurement on a 3D coordinate measuring machine. The first part of the thesis provides a theoretical overview of automation and robotics, virtual commissioning, and information about machining and measuring equipment. Subsequently, the individual components of the workstation and their specific requirements are described and analyzed. The practical part focuses on conceptual designs of the robotic cell, from which one solution is selected based on a multi-criteria method and further developed into a detailed engineering design, including a safety analysis. The work also covers the development of robotic programs and the simulation of responses from the robot controller, CNC machine, and measuring device using logical blocks within Process Simulate software. The use of a logical block for the robot controller eliminates the need for additional virtual commissioning software. Finally, the control logic of the workstation is implemented in the TIA Portal environment, including integration with an HMI control panel. The thesis concludes with a simulation of the entire robotic workstation and verification of its functionality.
