This bachelor thesis deals with the spectroscopic and electrochemical characterization of a bioinspired flavin analogue based on an alloxazine scaffold and its comparison with riboflavin. The theoretical part summarizes the fundamental knowledge of flavin structure, redox behavior, and fluorescence properties, with emphasis on the relationship between molecular structure and its physicochemical properties. The experimental part focuses on the investigation of absorption and fluorescence properties using UV–VIS and fluorescence spectroscopy, together with the analysis of redox behavior by cyclic voltammetry. Significant differences between riboflavin and the studied analogue were observed, mainly related to the presence of an alloxazine scaffold instead of the isoalloxazine system characteristic of riboflavin, as well as to the influence of substituents on the electronic structure of the molecule. The flavin analogue exhibited a hypsochromic shift of the absorption bands, a bathochromic shift of fluorescence, an increased Stokes shift, and predominantly irreversible electrochemical behavior accompanied by pronounced adsorption effects at the electrode surface. The obtained results contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between the structure of flavin analogues and their spectroscopic and electrochemical properties.

Studentka seznámila členy komise s náplní a výsledky své bakalářské práce. Následovalo čtení posudků vedoucí a oponenta a byly zodpovězeny položené otázky. S dalšími dotazy se přidali ostatní členové komise: doc. Mgr.
