The subject of this work is to design a public transport hub in the area of Brno-Komarov in connection with a tram loop, aiming to increase comfort of transfer between transport lines and the possibility to create a bus terminus for more bus lines.
This study involves designing of a new tram and bus loop and redesign of pedestrian routes for comfortable transition between public transport lines and for easy movement in the area. Attention is paid mainly to local relations in the area concerned, which are disconnected by the intersection of Svatopetrská/Hněvkovského/Černovická. The work also contemplates the planned extension of the tram line to the south of the city.
The content of the work are the results of the traffic surveys carried out for these purposes and the variants of the possible layouts of the new transport hub, from which one variant was selected on the basis of a multiple-criteria evaluation and this variant drafted in the drawing documentation.
