Course detail
Modern Network Technologies
FEKT-NMOSAcad. year: 2010/2011
The subject Modern Network Technologies is oriented to technologies implemented in high-speed local area and wide area networks. The first part of the subject deals with connection-oriented netwotk technologies. It includes prolematics of control in digital telephone networks and in techniology ATM. The second part of the subject includes detailed analysis of high-speed packet-oriented transmission technologies and problematics of Quality of Services guarantee. The subject also deals with the routing in data networks and with routing protocols RIP, OSPF and PNNI. The practical exercises include modeling of high-speed networks, configuration of active network elements and applications for network management. The second part of practical exercises is oriented to network application development.
