Railway Stations and Junctions II

Passenger stations, types, technology, extent. Switch and track layout, equipment and efficiency. Railhead and trough passenger stations.
Storage stations, technology, sets of tracks arrangement. Equipment of storage stations
Shunting yards, functions, position in railway network. Development of sorting technology. Set of reception sidings. Hump, technical equipment, sets of tracks design, longitudinal section of hump track, dynamic estimation. Set of sorting sidings. Set of departure sidings, tracks for thoroughgoing trains.
Depots, running shed. Technology, arrangement of trackage.
