Learning outcomes of the course unit

The subject Machine Design - B provides a knowledge of the composing of element drawings considering production technology and its practical application. The student is able to create the drawing documentation of assembly unit and drawing of selected machine elements (toothed wheels, pulleys, springs etc.) Possibility of graphic editors utilization.

Prerequisites

The knowledge of the appurtenances of component drawings.

Co-requisites

Not applicable.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Requirements for obtaining of a marked credit: presence at seminars, elaboration of graphical projects (programs), elaboration of tests. The teacher can specify a different requirements in the case of fail in programs and tests. Such requirements are represented by remaking the programs and so-called credit test. The precise elaboration of compositions functioning for individual practicing of knowledge out of the obligatory lessons is another condition for obtaining a marked credit. Concretization in the seminar. The student has to meet all four requirements.

Aims

The aim of the subject Machine Design - B is to teach students how to create a machine element drawing when the element is manufactured by any kind of technology with ensuring its function and interchangeability. The students will be informed about all kinds of production drawing documentation and consequently independently able to create such documentation.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Presence at seminars is checked. Absence from lessons is compensated according to instructions of the teacher.
