Practical Experience

Professional practice 2 is a mandatory part of the study program lasting 130 hours in the winter semester of the 3rd year.

The organization and date of the practice are provided by the students themselves. The practice is intended to familiarize students with the real business environment, the used IS and ICT resources. and to familiarize students with partial problems that may become the goal of solving the bachelor's thesis.

The purpose is to verify theoretical knowledge in specific conditions of the business sphere or legislative environment. It should be based on general methods such as observation, comparison, analogy and based on them to prepare a written report according to the attached assignment.

Entry knowledge

The course is a follow-up o all completed courses related to the economic areas, technical disciplines; informatics and production management.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Students prove their internship by submitting a confirmation of completed internship.

The condition for awarding credit is the submission of a PowerPoint presentation from the internship, which contains:

- business subject

- organizational structure, or its relations to a higher organizational unit

- description of information flows in the company

- evaluation of information technologies in the company (hardware, software, data files, information transfer, data protection, etc.)

- problems that the company most often faces in normal operation, or a proposal for a solution

- description of work activities in the company

- benefit of internship for the bachelor's thesis

Students submit internship documents via the IS BUT in the e-learning section.

Aims

The course aims to test theoretical knowledge from basic courses in the field in practice in the form of internships in organizations.

The course gives the student the opportunity to implement theoretical knowledge in specific assignments in the conditions of the organization. To become familiar with partial problems that can become the goal of solving a bachelor's thesis.

Syllabus

Odbornou praxí získá student možnost ověřit studiem získané teoretické znalosti při řešení konkrétních zadání v podnikatelských či nepodnikatelských subjektech. Po absolvování praxe dojde k propojení teoretických znalostí a praktických dovednost.

Odborné znalosti:
Student zná principy a standardy odborné činnosti v daném oboru a rozumí vztahu mezi teoretickými poznatky a jejich využitím v praxi.

Odborné dovednosti:
Student dovede aplikovat teoretické poznatky při plnění pracovních úkolů, řešit konkrétní problémy a využívat vhodné metody a nástroje odpovídající zaměření praxe.

Obecné způsobilosti:
Student je schopen samostatně a odpovědně pracovat v reálném pracovním prostředí, spolupracovat v týmu, komunikovat s odbornými pracovníky a reflektovat vlastní profesní rozvoj.
