This course is designed to develop students' professional communication skills in English, with a particular emphasis on effective written and oral communication in academic and workplace contexts. Through practical tasks and interactive activities, students will enhance their ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and confidently in professional settings.
The written communication component focuses on the development of essential professional writing skills, including the preparation of abstracts, summaries, and professional email correspondence. Students will learn how to structure information effectively, adapt their writing to different audiences and purposes, and apply appropriate conventions of style, tone, and register.
The oral communication component aims to strengthen students' ability to interact professionally in English. Key areas include planning and delivering presentations, participating in discussions, engaging in professional networking and small talk, and developing negotiation skills. Students will practice presenting information persuasively, responding to questions, managing interactions, and communicating effectively in collaborative and intercultural environments.
By the end of the course, students will be able to produce clear and well-structured professional texts, deliver effective presentations, engage confidently in professional conversations, and apply communication strategies appropriate to a range of academic and workplace situations.
