The course provides information from the area of development, design and implementation of enterprise information systems in all stages of their life cycle.

Entry knowledge

Secondary school knowledge of informatics and knowledge of operating, database and office systems and internet applications using.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

For obtaining the credit: semester test. The test consists of a written and an oral part. The written part consists of open questions. Oral examination is also mandatory. In the overall classification the activity of the student during the exercise is taken into consideration.
The test is classified according to ECTS.

Aims

The objective of the course is to make students familiar with theoretical methods, methodologies and the use of information systems in the frame of a company management.
Students will obtain basic skills and knowledge necessary for specifying requirements for an information system, its analyses, design and implementation. Students will be able to co-ordinate activities when implementing information systems in companies.

Study aids

Students will have access to study materials in electronic form via the university’s system. These will include lecture and seminar presentations, case studies, and additional support materials relevant to the course content. There is available literature in both Czech and English on the topics covered, which will be recommended to students for deeper understanding.
