Professional Experience 2

Professional practice 1 is a mandatory part of the study program lasting 130 hours in the summer semester of the 2nd year. The organization and date of the practice are provided by the students themselves. The practice is intended to familiarize them with the real business environment, the used IS and ICT resources. The purpose is to verify theoretical knowledge in specific conditions of the business sphere or legislative environment. It should be based on general methods such as observation, comparison, analogy and based on them to prepare a written report according to the attached assignment.

Entry knowledge

The course is a follow-up to all completed courses related to the economic areas, technical disciplines; informatics and law. 

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Students must provide proof of their completed internship with a confirmation document.

The condition for earning the credit is to submit a PowerPoint presentation covering the following:

  • The business activity
  • The organizational structure, including its relationships to higher organizational units
  • Description of information flows within the company
  • Evaluation of the company's information technologies (hardware, software, data files, information transfer, data protection, etc.)
  • Problems the company most frequently encounters in its daily operations, along with potential solutions
  • Description of the work activities within the company

Aims

The course aims to test theoretical knowledge from basic courses in the field in practice in the form of internships in organizations. The course will give the student the opportunity to implement theoretical knowledge in specific assignments in industrial conditions. To become familiar with partial problems that can become the goal of solving a bachelor's thesis.star_border

Syllabus

Odbornou praxí získá student možnost ověřit studiem získané teoretické znalosti při řešení konkrétních zadání v podnikatelských či nepodnikatelských subjektech. Po absolvování praxe dojde k propojení teoretických znalostí a praktických dovednost.
