EULiST BIP on Challenge-Based and Project-Based Learning at BUT

FA-CBL-WEAcad. year: 2025/2026

The workshop focuses on innovative forms of higher education and the practical application of Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) and Project-Based Learning (PBL). It explores how these methodologies can transform teaching and learning by engaging both students and educators in solving real-world challenges. The programme combines online sessions and an in-person workshop in Brno, where participants share experiences, reflect on teaching practices, and co-create new educational approaches. The workshop offers a space for dialogue, experimentation, and rethinking the role of learning in society.

Upon completing the course, the student will:

  • explain the principles and theoretical foundations of CBL and PBL,
  • design a learning project based on an authentic challenge or problem,
  • reflect on and evaluate the learning process from both student and teacher perspectives,
  • integrate elements of CBL/PBL into their own teaching practice,
  • foster creative and collaborative learning environments with social impact.
