Course detail
FAST-VYF002Acad. year: 2026/2027
In this course, students build upon the knowledge acquired in course VYF001. The first lesson reviews material from the previous course, focusing primarily on first-group verbs and the irregular verbs to have (avoir) and to be (être). Throughout the course, students will be introduced to additional irregular verbs, with an emphasis on the verbs to do/make (faire), to go (aller), and to take/have (prendre).
Students will be able to speak about food and drink independently and will practice situations in a restaurant and in shops. They will become familiar with second-group verbs and the partitive article. Furthermore, they will be able to talk about cities, shops, and sights, and learn how to ask for directions. They will describe their own town or village.
Students will learn how to use the imperative mood and adverbs such as never, often, or sometimes. They will also be introduced to basic conjunctions like because, so that, and but.
The course places a strong emphasis on speaking, pair work, and group work. Lessons include games, listening activities, songs, and videos.
