German for Pre-intermediate Students 1

The course is intended for pre-intermediate students and aims to review and develop students´ language skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) at the pre-intermediate level of general German (A2 lower according to the CEFR).

Grammar: past tense (Perfekt), vebs haben and sein in Präteritum, prepositions of time and place, modal verbs, word order, pronoun man, imperative, possessive pronouns

Vocabulary: work and jobs, travelling, staying at a hotel, rules and advice, health and sickness, body parts, arranging an appointment

Students should be familiar with the grammar and vocabulary covered in the courses VYN001 and VYN002.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

The course is worth 2 credits. To get their credits ("zápočet"), students are required to participate actively in class (attendance) and complete the individual teacher´s assignments.

Aims

Having completed the course, students will be able to understand and communicate in everyday situations, such as travelling, at the doctor´s or at work.
Target level according to the CEFR: A2 lower.
