Course detail
FEKT-BPC-DE2Acad. year: 2026/2027
Welcome to Digital Electronics 2! This course builds on the foundational knowledge from Digital Electronics 1 and will teach you how to design embedded devices and program an ARM microcontroller in MicroPython. The course culminates in a project in which you build a working embedded device.
At the end of the course you will be able to:
Language of instruction

Department
Entry knowledge
Successful completion of Digital Electronics 1 or equivalent course. Basic knowledge of digital logic, combinational and sequential circuits. Basic programming in higher-level programming languages (e.g. Python, C) and experience writing simple programs. Experience with microprocessor technology or microcontroller programming (e.g. Arduino) is an advantage.
Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
Out of the total of 100 points, 20 can be obtained during the semester (10 - attendance and work in laboratories, 10 - MicroPython project) and 80 from the final exam (70 - written part, 10 - oral part). To successfully complete the course, it is necessary to obtain credit, pass the final exam and receive at least 50 points overall.
Aims
This course will teach you how to design embedded devices and program an ARM microcontroller in MicroPython. The course culminates in a project in which you build a working embedded device.
