Introduction to the subject, principles of sanitary equipment design. Drainage systems inside buildings. Water sources for buildings, water supply systems. Domestic hot water supply systems. Gas installation for buildings. Electrical equipment.
Problems of thermal comfort in buildings. Types of water heating systems. Heat losses for buildigs and heat balance. Type of radiators. Heat sources and their space arrangement. Boiler rooms of the central heating. Hydraulics of heating systems.

Entry knowledge

Basic knowledge about constructional systems of buildings, fundamentals of hydromechanics, fundamentals of water supply and sewerage, basic theoretic knowledge of direct and alternating current, fundamentals of heat transfer.

Professional knowledge

Overview of plumbing systems. Bases of electrotechnics. Bases of heating systems.

Professional skills

Student obtains overview of plumbing systems, electrical equipments and heating systems of building.

The student will be able to use knowledge and skills in creating budgets, pricing and implementing construction projects.

  • 5. Fuel gas properties. Gas installation for buildings.
  • 6. Problems of designing of thermal comfort in building, overview of heating systems, choice and design.
  • 7. Heat losses of buildings and heat balance.
  • 8. Determination of type and size of radiators.
  • 9. Heat sources and their dispositional arrangement.
  • 10. Equipment of boiler rooms.
  • 11. Pipes sizing of heat systems.
  • 12. Building electric wiring installation, artificial lighting.
  • 13. Electrical service connections, lightning conductors.
