Czech language 1 EULIST students ONLINE

This course is offered primarily to EULiST students.

In this course the students are introduced to the basic principles of Czech grammar and pronunciation, build vocabulary in several important areas (university life, city life, transportation, food, family, everyday activities) and learn common social expressions. Learning about Czech culture in the broadest sense presents another important part of this course.

English language: B1. No knowledge of the Czech language is required.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

The workload consists of 13 weekly 2-hour online sessions (75% attendance is required) and 2 hours per week of compulsory homework assignments, totaling 52 hours. The course concludes with a final examination (written and oral part; conducted online).  The students who have not met the attendance/homework assignments requirement will not be allowed to take the exam.

Target level: A1. Students will be able to use and understand the Czech language in everyday situations (in shops, restaurants, at school, etc.)
