The subject offers a comprehensive overview of the historical development of animation and its technological transformations. Students will gain knowledge and practical skills in the field of digital imaging with an emphasis on its applications in film and other media formats. The course also focuses on learning the principles of modern computer animation techniques. Students will also learn about innovative approaches to animation, including experimenting with animation in virtual reality and the use of real-time animation techniques.

Conditions for obtaining a classified credit:
The final grade will be determined according to the ECTS scale.
Exercises: attendance is mandatory and monitored by the instructor; a maximum of two absences are permitted. In the event of long-term absence, the course guarantor is responsible for making up for missed classes.

The aim of the course is to expand students' knowledge and skills in the field of animation. Students will learn about the historical development of animation and its connection to technological progress. They will gain practical skills in digital imaging and its applications in animation. The course will provide an overview of the principles of classical and computer animation.
