Aims

Professional Knowledge:

Students acquire fundamental knowledge regarding the requirements for geotechnical investigations, particularly with respect to transport infrastructure projects.

Professional Skills:

Students gain an overview of the methods required to perform investigations (sampling, geophysical, and field testing methods). Based on this knowledge, they will be capable of specifying requirements for geotechnical site investigations. They will also gain knowledge of methods used for structural health monitoring of geotechnical structures.

Professional Competencies:

Students will be able to apply their knowledge and skills in defining and addressing engineering geological investigation requirements.
