Course detail
Imaging Method Practice in Biomedicine
FEKT-MPA-ZBMAcad. year: 2025/2026
The course is aimed at deepening theoretical knowledge and practical skills in selected imaging methods. In particular, emphasis is placed on optical imaging, focusing on the study of camera properties and their applications.
1. Measurement of selected parameters of scientific and industrial cameras (comparison of CCD/CMOS technology, binning, subsampling, gain, noise measurement in darkness, rolling/global shutter).
2. Measurement of the flow of a medium through a capillary using contrast laser speckle imaging (influence of acquisition parameters on the quality and accuracy of flow rate estimation).
3. Depth of field measurement and evaluation.4. Measurement of contrast transfer function of imaging system.
5. Image acquisition and processing in micoscopy.6. Spectral camera, principle, image acquisition and processing.
