Workshop Permaculture in Architecture

FA-PAR-WEAcad. year: 2023/2024

During the workshop, the students will learn about the general definition of permaculture design, the circumstances of its emergence and its use in architectural design. They will deal with the individual principles of permaculture design and the possibilities of their interpretation in architecture and application in architectural design. They will use examples to understand how permaculture works in urban environments. The workshop will provide an extension of studio learning in sustainable approaches to green infrastructure and link design with real-life implementation. The workshop will be divided into 3 concentrated blocks during the semester: theoretical background, implementation and reflection of the resulting intervention. The output of the workshop will be an intervention in the faculty's surroundings.
