Special Technology of Forming Metals
FSI-HST-KAcad. year: 2024/2025
Special and unconvencional methods of sheet metal forming, forging resp bulk forming. Processes analysis, infuence of forming conditions and parameters, forming limits with respect of defects and forces. Technological sketches of methods. Applications.
Language of instruction
Number of ECTS credits
Mode of study
Guarantor
Entry knowledge
The basic knowledge of the manufacturing technology and theory of the forming process.
Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
Course - unit credit requirements: participation in the exercises, delivery of assigned papers.
The examination consists of written and oral part. The final classification will be in accordance with ECTS grading scale.
The attendance in lectures is recommended. The attendance in exercises is compulsory. The attendance to the seminar is regularly checked and the participation in the lesson is recorded. The missed lesson is possible to replace with another study group in the same week. In case, that the lesson does not possible to replace, the student will elaborate the complemental task.
Aims
The aim of the course is to familiarise students with the use of special forming methods in broad terms.
The students will acquire knowledge of conventional as well as unconventional types of technologies, and will be able to apply these technologies for particular cases of forming.
