Team and Company Development

Course is focused on development and training of entrepreneurial and managerial skills and competencies. Students establish real team company and start their real projects. Developed areas cover team development, self-development, establishment and development of company, organizing, planning, control, identification of business opportunities, marketing, research and validation, project launching, financial aspects of business, basic principles of brand development.

Entry knowledge

The basic prerequisites for the course Business Competences Development are the fundamental knowledge of business areas at the level of higher education and skills in communication and teamwork. Customer experience gained in the market environment is also beneficial. This course is deeply bound with the subjects Marketing and Principles of Entrepreneurship.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Evaluation is based on continuous evaluation of outputs and evaluation of the final presentation and defense. Evaluation takes into consideration team work and individual performance.

Team work evaluation

  • Establishment and development of team company – 60% (up to 60 points)
  • Development of own projects – 30% (up to 30 points)
  • Participation in program development – 10% (up to 10 points)
  • Elaboration of individual self learning project – 10% (up to 10 points)

The final evaluation is summarized in the meeting during exam period where students need to present their progress in the setablishment of team company, company development, development of projects and other activities within study program. Specific requirements for the presentation will be posed in e-learning and discussed with team companies. Final mark covers all above mentioned areas and it is based on ECTS principles and points student gets in all areas.

Participation at the team sessions and other activities is compulsory, controlled and it is included in the final evaluation. Students can miss up to three team sessions per semester including exam period, except the final session focused on evaluation. Those three absences can be compensated by extra projects and tasks defined by lectures. If not compensated, the final score will be reduced for two points per each missed sessions.
ABSENCE EXCEEDING THREE TEAM SESSIONS/ACTIVITIES means that student WILL NOT PASS the course.

Students with an individual study plan must discuss detail requirements with lecturer and their team before the start of semester.

Aims

Objective of course is a foundation of functional company, creation of environment for team development and development of student project.


Students will learn legal, managerial, and entrepreneurial aspects, principles, techniques and methods for company foundation and development of company’s activities. Students will be able to use techniques of team communication and apply dialogue in learning and problem solving. Students will learn principles of realization of projects in real company. Students will gain knowledge and skills for development and management of team.

1. Introduction to the virtual international environment and into its individual fields, introduction to the content and form of teaching and evaluation of the course
2. Presentation of the specific aspects in team learning, the explanation of the coach role and the roles of team members
3. Team creation and team building activities
4. Making up - the name of companies, logos and other graphic materials, product portfolio definition (services) on B2B market
5. Division of individual activities within the company - marketing, purchase, sales, finance etc., pricing - price lists, definition of distributin channels
6. Creatinon of online marketing promotion - Facebook pages and other profiles on social networks, relevant information, brand story telling on Facebook, the preparation of graphis materials (photos etc.)
7. Creation of company webpage, newsletter, e-mail offer for potential customers
8. Video marketing promotion on Youtube, Facebook pages and other social networks, company promotional video, product promotional video
