Team and Company Development

Course is focused on development and training of entrepreneurial and managerial skills and competencies. Students establish real team company and start their real projects. Developed areas cover team development, self-development, establishment and development of company, organizing, planning, control, identification of business opportunities, marketing, research and validation, project launching, financial aspects of business, basic principles of brand development.

Entry knowledge

The basic prerequisites for the course Team and Company Development  are the fundamental knowledge of business areas at the level of higher education and skills in communication and teamwork. Customer experience gained in the market environment is also beneficial. This course is deeply bound with the subjects Marketing and Principles of Entrepreneurship.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Evaluation is based on continuous evaluation of outputs and evaluation of the final presentation and defense. Evaluation takes into consideration team work and individual performance.

Course evaluation:

  • Management System Setup - 30% (up to 30 points)
  • Establishing and developing a team-based company - 30% (up to 30 points)
  • Team Development - 30% (up to 30 points)
  • Company Development Plan - 10% (up to 10 points)

Optional:

Involvement in program development - up to 10 points

The final evaluation is concluded in a team meeting during the exam period. Here, students present the process of company founding and establishment, company management system, company development plan and team development. Presentation requirements will be outlined in the e-learning and discussed in class. The final grade is based on the points gained in each area and is in line with ECTS principles.

Participation at the team sessions and other activities is compulsory, controlled and it is included in the final evaluation. Students can miss up to four team sessions per semester including exam period, except the final session focused on evaluation. Those f our absences can be compensated by extra projects and tasks defined by lectures. If not compensated, the final score will be reduced for two points per each missed sessions.
ABSENCE EXCEEDING FOUR TEAM SESSIONS/ACTIVITIES means that student WILL NOT PASS the course.

Students with an individual study plan must discuss detail requirements with lecturer and their team before the start of semester.

Aims

Objective of course is a foundation of functional company, creation of environment for team development and development of student project.


Students will learn legal, managerial, and entrepreneurial aspects, principles, techniques and methods for company foundation and development of company’s activities. Students will be able to use techniques of team communication and apply dialogue in learning and problem solving. Students will learn principles of realization of projects in real company. Students will gain knowledge and skills for development and management of team.
