Aims
The course focuses on the management of projects, especially in the area of information and knowledge systems. The subject also explains current trends and international standards of project management. It looks at how to plan and manage projects so they can be completed in a timely manner, the necessary quality and within budget.

1. Introduction to Project Management (definition of project management, specifications of project management in the field of IT).
2. International Standards and Project Management Methodologies (IPMA, PMI, PRINCE2) and their application in IT.
3. Definition of Basic Concepts (project, project scope, triple constraint, scope based on 5 attributes, setting project objectives with respect to IT).
4. Pre-project, project, and post-project phases.
5. Pre-project phase (analyses, ideas, and their evaluation).
6. Logical Framework Method (principles, benefits, definition of intent, goals, measurable outputs, key activities, objectively verifiable indicators, means of verification, and assumptions).
7. Project Manager and Team Management in the IT Environment (qualities and skills of an IT project manager, basic characteristics of a team).
8. Project phase (focus on project planning).
9. Risk Management in IT Projects (methods and procedures used for risk management).
10. Project phase (management of IT projects, control, motivation, and communication).
11. Post-project phase (creation of a project knowledge base).
12.-13. Agile Methods in Projects (differences between standard project management and agile methods, principles of agile methods, and basic agile methods).
