French for Pre-Intermediate Students -exam

FAST-BYF29Acad. year: 2024/2025

Subjects BYF1, BYF12, BYF2 and BYF22 are offered to students to gain the required knowledge and skills. Students need to know the contents of Taxi! 1-2 books. The exam is divided into 2 parts. The written part tests the knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, then the reading, listening and writing skills; the speaking part of the exam examines the ability to talk shortly on the topics discussed in the above mentioned subjects and to answer the questions. The exam lasts 2 hours.

Entry knowledge

In order to be prepared for the exam, students should master grammar and vocabulary of Taxi!1-2 books. Their language skills (reading, listening, writing and speaking) should be on the pre-intermediate level.
Grammar: conjunction of regular and irregular verbs, rexlexive verbs, past tenses "le passé composé" and "l´imparfait", future tense, conditional mood, personal independent pronouns, past perfect tense, present and past subjunctive mood
Vocabulary: introducing, basic information about myself, family, free time, hobbies, orientation in the city, food and drink, shopping, appearance, clothes, characteristics of people
