Study of the development of art, architecture, arts and crafts in the 19th and 20th centuries - Neoclassicism, historical Romanticism, Arts and Crafts, Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Symbolism, Art Nouveau, avant-garde, Dadaism, Surrealism, Bauhaus, Action Painting, Dramatic Arts, Architecture, Art Crafts and Design in the 19th and 20th Century, op-art, pop-art, conceptual art, postmodern. Attention is also paid to Czech modern art and the development of architecture and sculpture in the 20th century.

Aims
The output of the subject is an orientation in the history of fine art in the period of modern times and knowledge of fundaments, characterization and significant representatives of individual movements.

- Art of the first half of the 20th century - avant-garde orientations of the early 20th century (fauvism, expressionism, cubism, futurism and metaphysical painting, abstract art).
- Art of the first half of the 20th century - the interwar period (dadaism, surrealism, Bauhaus).
