Packaging of daily consumption products

Reasons for product packaging, technological, hygienic and consumer requirements for packaging, basic packaging materials - wood, fabrics, paper, glass, metals, natural, synthetic and modified polymers, combined packaging - properties, production and its applications for packaging of daily consumption products, general classification, legislative, barrier and technological requirements, migration of packaging components, principles and procedures of active packaging, ecological aspects of food packaging, eco-balance and recycling.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Course ends with written examination and its answer report is talked over during an oral examination with complementing questions. Minimum of 50 points from total of 100 is required to pass the exam

Mastering the procedures and techniques of packaging daily consumption products
Gaining an overview of methods, procedures and packaging options for daily consumption products, gaining knowledge about packaging machines, environmental aspects, labeling and testing of packaging materials.
