The course is focused on the preparation of the final thesis, therefore the teaching is individual. Teaching is carried out according to the instructions of the thesis supervisor, mostly in the form of consultations of partial problems, presentation of the results of the thesis. The course is focused mainly on the development of the theoretical background of the thesis on the basis of the literature recommended by the thesis supervisor, the formulation of the objectives of the thesis, the selection of methods used for the preparation of the final thesis and the analytical part of the thesis. The thesis topics and their objectives are approved by the study programme guarantor.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

A condition for obtaining credit is meeting the conditions set by the thesis supervisor. As a rule, this involves the preparation of at least two chapters of the thesis (analytical part, methodology of the thesis including objectives) and their submission by the deadline.

Aims

The main objective of the course is to make students familiar with intellectual work methodology, ways of retrieving, processing and use of information, as well as with the formal aspects of the diploma thesis. It focuses also on mastering basic skills when preparing for, working out and presenting the diploma thesis.
