Studio Follow-up II - Intermedia - summer

The course focuses on the finalization of artistic research and a master's thesis. Students work with the reduction of the portfolio in relation to the master's project, which is consulted during individual meetings with the studio teachers and externs. The skill to communicate professionally with theorists, critics, curators, but also technologists and cultural managers is expected.

Independent approach to work. Self-study of selected literature. Ongoing fulfillment of the Master's project implementation plan. 

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

To be awarded credit, it is necessary to work on a master's project, which is continuously consulted (individually and in groups) during the semester. The development of the work is documented using work-in-progress, sketches or research. Mandatory number of ongoing consultations: 3. 50% participation in studio meetings is mandatory. 


Participation in studio meetings, implementation of the master's project, communication with studio leaders. 

Aims

Independent work on the development of a master's project in a studio environment. Critical reflection of one's own work and the ability to verbalize one's own concepts. Orientation in current topics in the context of contemporary art and non-art fields. 


In the summer semester of the second year of the master's degree, students concentrate on the finalization of the master's project and its final presentation.
