TRX (Suspension Training)

Total-Body Resistance Exercise are exercises for loading the whole body. Hanging training, unlike conventional strengthening, enables truly functional strengthening, which at the same time increases the flexibility, balance and stability so much needed, both during other sports activities and, above all, in everyday life.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Exercises designed for students who have the opportunity to use their own hanging strengthening system TRX.
The exercise will take place in a distance form, ie by hanging exercise programs in Moodle with photos or. gifs and descriptions of individual exercises.
The exercise is intended for exercisers of all performance levels, from beginners to active athletes.
Exercise programs will be compiled regularly for each week with a gradual increase in the intensity of exercises.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Credit based on individual active participation in exercise programs with feedback - filling out a questionnaire at the end of the semester.

Course curriculum

Functional training is a comprehensive exercise that involves the maximum number of muscle groups in the activity. The dominant feature of functional training is the use of the exerciser's own weight as a load or resistance to achieve an increase in relative strength - the basis is core training, training the center of the body. Quality training leads to a higher muscle balance, positively helps joint stability and significantly contributes to the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries.

Introduction to the basic principles of hanging exercises. Benefits and risks of exercising with TRX.
Training lessons according to the exercise plan.
Final questionnaire.

Gradually increasing the intensity of individual exercises to ensure maximum transfer of acquired condition and performance into everyday activities = functional training.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
