Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
Two compulsory written tests – one for the banking section and the second for the insurance part. The resultant classification is the sum of the results of both tests.
Monitored tuition via seminars, with a minimum attendance of 60 per cent.

To improve and deepen students’ understanding of the meaning of terms, relationships and banking and insurance products in conjunction with real-world practice.

1. Introduction to banking (types of financing, definition of a bank, bank supervision, the Czech banking system).
2. Identification of clients, financial investment instruments – deposit transactions.
3. Payments (cash, cashless, electronic banking, foreign payments).
4. Documentary payments (letter of credit, direct debit), payment cards, hedging of exchange rate risks.
5. Credit transactions, guarantees issued by banks (types of loans, loan applications, guarantee applications).
6. Credit analysis, loan and guarantee collateral.
7. Leasing, factoring, forfeiting.
8. Insurance – insurance theory and the related laws, forms of insurance.
9. Insurance of persons – property and liability insurance of citizens, risk and life insurance.
10. Third party liability insurance for motor vehicles, accident insurance for vehicles, transportation insurance.
11. Insurance of business risks.
12. Settlement of claims.
