Diploma Project – Concept

The first of courses focused on preparation of students for independent professional, scientific or creative activities leading to successful elaboration and defense of the diploma thesis. Attention is paid mainly to the elaboration of research or development project proposal, according to which the diploma thesis will be made. Emphasis is placed on mastering the methodology of research work and development of critical thinking. The course is followed by Diploma Project - Literature and Objectives, Diploma Project - Methods and Results and Diploma Project - Results and Discussion.

- knowledge acquired during the bachelor's and master's studies, which are relevant to the selected topic of the diploma thesis.

Lectures, exercises, self-study.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Conditions for granting the credit:
- active participation in exercises (min. 10 out of 20 points),
- elaboration of the diploma thesis project (min. 25 out of 50 points),
- discourse of the project and discussion (min. 15 out of 30 points).

Aims

Students will be able to methodologically correctly process research or development project, which represents structured ideological and technical plan for its implementation.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Lectures: attendance is mandatory and controlled by the teacher.
Exercises: participation is mandatory and controlled by the teacher.
Maximum of two absences are allowed in total. In case of long-term absence, compensation for missed classes is in the competence of the course guarantor.
