Learning outcomes of the course unit

The course widens the knowledge of theory of internal combustion engines and improves students´ position on the labour market.

Knowledge subject: Theory Internal Combustion Engine (QTS)

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The credit is conditional on active participation in the exercises, completion of the project and fulfilling the conditions of the control test.

Aims

The aim of the course is to provide students with an overview of alternative propulsion units and modern ways of increasing the performance, economy and environmental parameters of propulsion systems in relation to the "Theory of Internal Combustion Engines".

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Seminars are obligatory, checked by a teacher. The way of compensation of missed lessons (in justified cases) is solved individually with the course guarantee person.
