Business project

The content of the course is the practical solution of complex projects from the field of business practice. It uses the principles of project-based teaching and problem-based learning. Students have the opportunity to formulate their own project related to the development of the chosen company, or to use projects submitted for solution by cooperating companies. For the formulation of the assignment of the project, continuity is used with other studied courses and possibly also with solved semester projects. The course is based on a team project solution.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Předmět rozvíjí týmové dovednosti, poskytuje prostor pro rozvoj manažerských kompetencí, stejně jako prostor pro rozvoj analytických dovedností. Studenti rozvinou svoji schopnost formulovat řešení a navrhnout postup realizace. Z hlediska profesního je klíčovým aspektem to, že zaměření projektů si studenti volí dle vlastního uvážení tak, aby se rozvíjeli v oblastech, které považují pro svůj odborný profil za nejvýznamnější. Předmět je zařazen ve volitelné formě v rámci prvních třech semestrů studia a studenti si ho mohou zvolit ve kterémkoli semestru, případně i opakovaně.

Completion of the course:
The condition for passing the course is passing team consultations according to the course outline and successfully defending the project.

Completion of the subject for students with individual study:
The condition for passing the course is passing team consultations according to the course outline and successfully defending the project.

Completion of the course in distance form (applies only when objective external circumstances do not allow the study program to be carried out in accordance with the granted accreditation):
The condition for passing the course is passing team consultations (in the form of online video conferences) according to the course syllabus and successfully defending the project.

Course curriculum

The course takes place in the form of consultations with the teacher and in the form of independent work on a project. Four types of consultations are ongoing:
1. Initial procurement consultation focused on the characteristics of the problem. The result is the basic formulation of the assignment.
2. Consultation of the chosen problem solving methodology and solution procedure. The result is an approved project with an emphasis on the solution procedure, solution schedule and expected outputs.
3. Consultation of the progress of the solution. The goal is continuous control and correction of the procedure.
4. Presentation and defense of the project solution. The goal is the evaluation of the project solution and feedback on the results and progress of the processing.

Cílem předmětu je poskytnout studentům prostor pro rozvoj praktických dovedností při řešení komplexních projektů přesahujících rámec jednotlivých předmětů.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Účast na cvičeních a soustředění kombinované formy studia je povinná a kontrolovaná. Každá neúčast na předepsané formě výuky je hodnoceny srážkou pěti bodů z finálního hodnocení.
