The content is the design of passive and active circuits from the discrete lumped and distributed elements up to GHz frequencies and the introduction to the design of the radio-frequency integrated circuits.

Prerequisites
- explain basics of electronic circuits and electromagnetic waves and transmission lines (inductance, capacitance, impedance, reflection coefficient, Smith chart, standing wave ratio)
- analyze basic electronic circuits with passive components
- calculate with complex numbers and logarithms
- know the characteristics of the parallel and serial resonant circuits
- know calssical classes of amplifiers and calculate operating point circuits

2. Passive RF filters with distributed elements.
3. Noise, noise sources and noise contribution estimation in the transceiver's frontend.
4. Non-linear RF circuit parameters.
5. RF amplifier design.
6. Low noise amplifier design.
7. Linear power amplifiers.
8. Non-linear power amplifiers.
9. Design of the frequency references and voltage controlled oscillators.
10. Passive and active mixers design.
11. Regulation loops in the RF circuits.
12. Elementary microwave integrated circuits.
13. Properties and measurement of microwave integrated circuits.
