Architectural Composition
FA-KOA1Acad. year: 2022/2023
Analysis of the categories of architectural composition in context of space, mass and architectural form, and reflection of the philosophic ideas of the respective period, with emphasis being put on the specific features of the present time. At the Brno Faculty of Architecture, the study of the laws of creating architectural form, and of the expressive and semantic features of a work of architecture, have a tradition of several decades. The change of economic conditions after 1989 and the rapid technological development generate a pressing need for defining, in the possibly widest context, the present characteristics of composition situations Their knowledge essentially contributes to the formation of professional standpoints in architectural design.
