The development of timber structures, perspectives of utilization of a timber in building structures, Czech and foreign standards for the design of structures.Properties of a timber and materials on the basis of a timber from the aspect of utilization in building structures. Limit states of timber structures. Space arrangement of timber structures. Principles of creating of calculation models. Basic types of stresses of members of timber structures and methodology of their checking. Joints of timber structures.Plated and truss structures - girders, frames and arches. Principles of theoretical design and basic structural details.Assurance of a space stability of timber structures. Space structures - lattice structures, space bar systems, ribbed domes, vaulted and shell structures.Timber panels and its utilization in load-bearing systems. Timber structures for residential, office, restaurant and many other purposes. Fire-resistance of timber structures.Fabrication and assembly of timber structures. Protection and maintenance of timber structures. Principles of redevelopment and reconstruction of timber structures. Examples of realized structures.
