Rhetoric

The course is the outcome of a well-proven methodology, leading to a step-by-step increase of volume of vocabulary, the elimination of often repeated errors and failures in talking by using the experience of logopedic consultancy, getting familiar with the rhetoric art of the antiquity, the medieval age and the new era. The content of the course and the methods used, at the same time, conduct the trainees to getting knowledge of the most excellent literature monuments of the time.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The knowledge acquired should provide for the cultivation of all modes of vocal and written communication. It should provide for the consolidation of the sense for mutual understanding and tolerance in interpersonal relations. A cultivated speech is supportive of a new dimension to technical erudition.

Syllabus

1. Význam komunikace v životě člověka i lidské společnosti, cesty k zdokonalení
2. Inovace "komunikační soustavy" - nezbytnost systémového přístupu, využívajícího poznatky věd - psychologie, sociologie, filosofie, neurofyziologie.
3.Proces "tvoření názoru" - základní myšlenková operace a její význam v komunikaci, která je obvykle právě "výměnou názorů". 12 příčin odlišnosti názorů a stanovisek
4. Argumentace - předpoklady a cesty k tomu, aby člověk změnil názor svého komunikačního partnera.
5.Postup stavby mluveného či psaného díla.
6. Asertivita a zdvořilost
7. Neverbální komunikace
8. Řečnické okrasy, figury, tropy atd.
9. Společenská zábava a konverzace
10. Ethos a rytířství v komunikaci a argumentaci
