Inovation management

The course deals with innovation and their importance for enhancing the competitiveness of organizations and businesses with a focus on construction. Gradually are discussed basic concepts of the discipline in relation to the legal documents of innovation policies at EU and CR. It is discussed in particular the theory of innovation, types of innovation, the innovation process, its resources and management innovation. Sequential there is discussed the issue of knowledge management and intellectual property in relation to research and development as a source of innovation. The models and forms of public-private partnerships for innovation are shown, including the issue of financial and nonfinancial support of the innovation process. Measurement and evaluation of innovation is included along with the value of innovation management in the final lessons. The part of course is the involvement of students in cooperation with selected institutions, innovation centers and organizations that participate in innovative projects.

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the importance of innovation in business and their impact on the competitiveness of enterprises and institutions associated with the building industry.
