Prerequisites
In order to pass the exam students must have reached the B1 level of English language ability according to the CEFR. The elective subjects English Intermediate I and English Intermediate 2 are taught every semester for students with a lower level of English than B1 in order to help them prepare for the exam.

Course curriculum
The exam evaluates communicative abilities such as interaction, pronunciation and the ability to create connected sentences that convey information on certain everyday topics. It also tests listening and reading, as well as grammar and vocabulary. The exam is at the level of B1 as specified by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
