Realization of buildings, business and finances

The aim is to acquaint the students with the execution of construction as seen from a design office, including turn-key delivery, modern methods of organisation of construction, and final approval procedure.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The student will be able individually to plan and organise his activity at the level of builing design,including economic aspects. He or she will gain general information about business environment of the Czech republic, about the rules governing business activities, and the basic skills in strategic planning.

Prerequisites

Expected is previous general knowledge of macro- and micro- economics, knowledge of building structures, in the extent of at least 2-semester study of the subject "Building constructions". There is also expected, that the student have paseed tha bachelor degree and participate in the practice.

The assessment is be based on a written exam consisting of 4 questions.

Aims

The aim is to introduce the students into the problems of building preparation of constructions,including their financing, and to make them acquinted with the characteristics of the business environment at the level of preparation and execution of constructions.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

There is no continual monitoring of attendance, teaching being based on lectures closed by a final exam.
