Knowledge Management

The subject focuses on the explanation of the basic theoretical concepts related to the management of knowledge and its practical application in companies. It focuses on the acquisition, use, storage and sharing of knowledge. Issues concerned with knowledge management are handled separately. First, the course focuses on the description of the environment of knowledge management outside organizations (the knowledge-based economy, the knowledge society, learning regions) and subsequently within organizations (knowledge-based organizations, learning organizations, knowledge strategies, knowledge markets, knowledge workers, tools and methods of knowledge management). The course also provides basic information about the integration of knowledge management with other managerial disciplines, such as project, innovation, operations, stress and time management.
