Studio III - Painting 1 - winter

Under the guidance of their teacher, students learn to interconnect acquired experience and knowledge. They co-operate with their teacher on the specification of their assignments and examine the possibilities of their solutions. They include the knowledge gained in theoretic subjects in their studio work.

Interconnection of the basics of theoretic studies with practical atelier work.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching takes place in the form of group and individual consultations of the teacher with the students over the assigned semestral tasks. Teaching includes lectures and workshops on semester (theme) topics provided by external lecturers. During the semester students take part in at least one excursion to foreign museums and galleries. Once every two semesters, a painter's stay (plenary) takes place.

Semester exam project.

Reflection of traditional themes of painting - both figural and non-figural - in the context of their content.

Aims

To master the technology of the studied subject.
Development of individual abilities, application of the language of drawing and painting, exploration of other techniques and methods, their possible thematisation - specification and realisation of individual creative plans.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
