Studio IV - Graphic Design 2 - summer

Students concentrate on the practical part of the bachelor's exam and consult their progress with the supervisor. They can consult their Master's degree project if needed.

The studio statement is the axis of education in all years of study:

Every Wednesday you will be encouraged and led to find your own way of working.
We focus on discovering a role of today’s graphic designer.
We don’t give an easy guidelines “how to do it”.
You will analyze the assignments, take a stand on them and find solutions.
You will experience the pressure of one-day tasks and the enthusiasm of a completed long-term project.
We cooperate with czech and foreign lecturers and foreign students.
We are more moderators than teachers.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Successful final exam. Student understands principles of cooperation in professional practice, and is able to define his position in the labour market.

Prerequisites

Theoretical and practical experience from the seventh semester of study.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Individual consultations between student and the supervisor of the bachelor project.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Credit and exam. The conditions for granting the credit are individual consultation with supervisor of the bachelor project.

Course curriculum

1. Student consults his workflow and progress of the bachelor project with the supervisor.
2. Student give his bachelor's project to the supervisor and the opponent.
3. Defense of the bachelor thesis before the committee, comments and marking of final exam.

Aims

Realization and public defense of practical bachelor thesis. Bachelor graduate from studio of Graphic Design Studio 2 is a critically thinking designer, capable to define the range of his / her professional skills.
