Learning outcomes of the course unit

The goal of the subject is to obtain the knowledge and the latest developments in the field of civil engineering, that being in the complex of interrelationship of individual structural parts of the building and the requirements imposed upon them. This applies especially to FT works, with a link to the used material, product or element, and always with respect to its desired functional properties and building physical associations with its incorporation into other building structures with regard to trouble-free operation of buildings.
Acquiring and acceptance of conceptual work in compliance with legal requirements, standards and regulations, and respecting technological regulations of the implementation of FT works.
Acquaint the students with examples of flawless design and implementation of a real building process.

Prerequisites

The Students will use the acquired knowledge in building physics (thermal engineering, acoustics and daylighting inside buildings), fire safety of buildings and civil engineering, acquired by completing the prescribed courses in previous studies.
Knowledge
In the course of study the student will use of knowledge of the subject Design Detail and Modern Building Materials.

Co-requisites

Student will use in the study of knowledge from the subject Design detail and Modern building materials.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures and exercises. During the lectures, the students will in the form of presentations be made familiar with the requirements of applicable laws, decrees, regulations and standards in the area of design of buildings and the principles of technical regulations of manufacturers. In the course of tutorials they will prepare reports, drawings and model calculation reports and verification in the specified FT area including evaluation and description of a specific me

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Credit awarding criteria include attendance, standard of elaboration of protocols, drawings and reports. The test will consist of written and oral part and the condition and is to achieve more than a half of the number of points.
