Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students will understand the effect of composite materials and composite options.
The student is familiar with the principles of design and use of composites.
Based on the findings listener can optimally choose composite material for a specific application.
Graduates are able to define the desired properties of the composite, conditions of use, will gain experience with the practical training of selected composite materials.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of concrete technology - the design process, mixing concrete, the process of compacting concrete, concrete placement
Knowledge of Chemistry - Classification of substances, properties of matter
Co-requisites
Knowledge of concrete technology - the design process, mixing concrete, the process of compacting concrete, concrete placement
Knowledge of Chemistry - Classification of substances, properties of matter
Knowledge of the chemistry of plastics and lightweight building materials
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
For teaching system is used LMS Moodle.
The lessons are organized field trips to companies manufacture composite materials - specifically excursion to companies KrampeHarex CZ Ltd., Morfico Ltd., Bachel Ltd., Prefa Kompozity and more.
The lessons are organized lectures of practitioners.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
Student is required to draw up a protocol on each class. Each protocol is evaluated by the teacher.
The test includes a written part and an oral part. Student
