Students shall be acquired knowledge about the structure of communication network used for transmission of calling, data and pictures and technology of transmission information in them used.

  1. Network Goals. Topology and network structure. Voice and data communication, digital revolution.Transfer medium types and characteristics
  2. Theory of transmission systems. SDH and PDH.
  3. Link layer protocols. Flow control. Transparency. Numbering of frame. The HDLC Protocol.
  4. Integrated services of digital networks - ISDN. ISDN protocols, accesses and interface standard.
  5. DSS1 and CCS7 signaling protocols.
  6. SIGTRAN
  7. xDSL technology
  8. GSM
  9. GPRS and EDGE
  10. UMTS
  11. LTE
  12. DVB-T
