Students will be able to create and project logistics concepts in industrial organizations. They will be able to project logistics chains and networks with the using informatics and communication technology. They will learn how to manage logistics department, realizing mission of logistics procurement i. e. purchasing, storage, packing technology, marking of products and etc. Students will learn how to make and evaluate controlling activities in logistics processes. Students will be able to made affectivities of logistic processes, activities and outputs. Students will be able to project technology logistics processes and design technique for this processes too.

Students are expected to have the following knowledge and skills when they begin the course: mathematics disciplines, statistics, theory of decisions and basic economics disciplines i. e. microeconomics. At the same time they have knowledge of business economic, basic profitability, effectiveness of investments and understanding of double entry bookkeeping data.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.
Guided consultations are devoted mainly to consultation and control tasks assigned to a separate
processing. This method of teaching is dominant in distance study,

Student receives credit if she / he submit assignment (cca 15 pages).
Examination is written and oral. The written and oral section contains examples and theory.
Written test is 50 minutes long.
To obtain level E, student has to demonstrate the ability to calculate examples to the numerical results and some theoretical knowledge.

The course is a part of theoretical and creative basis focused on trade. Within the economic globalisation, the main role of logistics is the material flow management aimed, with the use of information technologies, to ensure an optimum performance and added value. From this point of view these functions represent basic mission of logistics, i.e. logistics-oriented organization. Therefore students should be familiar with it when dealing with the given problems.Another goal of the course is a projection of logistic concepts in an industrial organisation and a project of logistic chains (networks), as well as incorporation of an industrial organisation in a supply chain using IT/ICT.
