Course detail
Mechanisation, Automation and Handling
FSI-EMM-KAcad. year: 2015/2016
The course provides theoretical and practical explanation of automation advances in the metalworking industry - mainly in the metal forming and machining plants. It familiarises students specializing in machining, forming and welding technology with planning of automation, designing the product with automation in mind, and the basic components of automation such as different kinds of feeder, selector, loader, unloader, transfer and transfer devices and numerous other components. These are used in the designing of automation systems in the given technologies. Also dealt with are designing and operation of flexible manufacturing systems, application of numerically controlled machines and industrial robots in production lines and different systems.
