Building and Administrative Law

To understand to fundamental principles, elements and function of public administration from regional and interest autonomy and civil service point of view. Knowledge about rules and procedures connected with administrative conduct including juridical control of decisions made by administrative body.
The part focusing on the building law includes the overview of the Building Act, its importance and principles, executive regulations of the Building Act. Territorial planning and building code, the issue of expropriation, legal regulation of administrative infraction and other administrative delicts.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

After successful graduation of the subject students will be able:
• to understand and to be oriented in public adjustment of administrative law focused on the construction law
• to understand relations among construction law and other legal branches
• to apply and to use legal institutes in the area in the territorial planning and building regulations
• to individually analyze legal case and to apply specific legal adjustment
• to use legal instruments of the protection to review administrative decisions

Prerequisites

The subject extends the knowledge gained in the course of secondary education, therefore no other technical is required.

Co-requisites

Supposition of basic knowledge of law in the range of high school education and there are not required any other expert knowledge.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures, practical classes and self-study assignments. Attendance at lectures is optional, but attendance at classes is compulsory.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Attendance and active participation in seminars including the presentation of defined topics or carrying out of seminar works.

Elaborating of knowledge hanged together with law reduction of public-law relations and building-law relations including their tying together with law regulations.
